When size doesn’t matter

Yes, size doesn’t matter only if it is compensated by something else of more value. Every time Christmas approaches, I prepare myself spiritually, emotionally and yes - physically and financially. Apart from attending mass, I also start of the month of December by making a list of what presents to buy and for whom and every year, both my parents, siblings, friends and that special someone top the list.
This year, topping my list of possible Christmas gifts to buy are cufflinks for the boys and watches for the girls. I find cufflinks and interesting piece of jewelry for the guys as they come in a wide array of shapes and themes that suit different occasions. Just like a pair of women’s earrings. I prefer shopping online more nowadays as I have a lot to chose from different stores and I don’t have to use that much of energy as I would when I shop on foot. After going through several online stores, I’ve found cufflinks with sporty themes such as baseballs, tennis, golf and basketball emblems. There were cufflinks to suit different personalities such as metropolitan where cufflinks come in the shape of martini glasses and hand phones.
Designer watches are exclusively for the women on my list for this year’s Christmas. To me, a designer watch adorning a woman’s slim wrist exudes a classic, elegant look. Designer watches come in leather bracelets, satin ribbons, stainless steel bracelets as well as plastic- you just need to buy the proper watch to suit the character and personality of the would-be wearer. These small gifts can bring a smile to the faces of your loved ones. After all, special occasions deserve special gifts that come wrapped in small boxes.

Gift Shopping under Designer Labels

Christmas is around the corner and you are already getting headaches on buying a memorable gift or that special someone. If your budget fits, what about designer cufflinks for him and a designer watch for her? There are many ways you can get your hands on these designer cufflinks and designer watches – either from your local gift store, a shopping mall or you can even purchase it from an online fashion accessory store.
Nowadays, many people prefer to shop online when it comes to gift buying- even when it concerns designer items like cufflinks and watches. One of the obvious reasons is simply because you can always get a better bargain when you purchase them online; some of these online stores slash their price up to 50% of the original price. Not only that, some online stores participate in special discount coupons and cash rebates all year round to attract customers to their site.
And when you purchase your designer cufflinks and designer watches online, you will have a wider selection to choose from. A wider selection assures you that you won’t find another exact piece on another person. This situation is one that you might end up in should you buy from local stores. Local stores stock up much higher than their online counterparts so finding someone else wearing the same watch or cufflink is high.
Also, by purchasing your designer cufflinks and watches from an online store, you will probably come across something that has just been released and is up for grabs. Wearing something unique is certainly an image booster because not many people can gave it and not many walk around wearing it. There are a lot of online stores that sells fashion accessories, but not all of them are legitimate and trustworthy. When shopping online for cufflinks and watches, make sure you get a certificate of the manufacturer as well as a serial code for that product. These items tell you if the products are genuine or not.

Ethically Sourced Jewelry

I’m sure you’ve heard of ethically sourced cosmetics, body care products and even health supplements. When it comes to ethically sourced products, it means that the ingredients in the product are sourced in accordance with fair trade and environmentally and labor responsible principles. Brands that have employed the ethically sourced tagline are such as Unilever, BodyShop, Dove, Lipton and Bridgehead Coffee.
Now, the jewelry market is also jumping into the band wagon or producing ethically sourced jewelry that is used to make necklaces, earrings, designer watches, cufflinks, pendants and many other products. The movie Blood Diamond has opened the eyes of many and thus, this has pushed many corporations and organizations around the world to produce jewelry that advocates fair labor, environments and ethical procedures. Through ethically sourced jewelry, not only do the designers make the profit but the people on the assembly line, the miners and everybody that comes into contact of making just one single piece of watch, cufflink, necklace or earring.
The jewelry industry has begun to work on ethical grounds and this trend will continue to keep going on. The market for ethically sourced jewelry is still insignificant as of now, but as more people become aware and be concerned about where the materials of jewelries came from, it will soon become fashionable to wear only items that are produced in an ethical way. So the next time you buy a pair of unique designer cufflinks or designer watches, you might as well stop and reflect whether the material was ethically sourced or not.

Designer Watch and cufflinks Market

What’s the difference between designer watches and luxury watches? It’s the price. Designer watches, are less expensive than their luxury counterparts. This is because the makers of designer watches want their clients to buy as many models instead of just one timepiece. The same is said for designer cufflinks.
Designer watches are designed to compliment your collection of jewelry and clothes. Like cufflinks, watches like Cartier, Chopard, Gucci, Chanel and Bvlgari are fashion accessories with each brand name bringing in a new collection of highly crafted watches every season to whet the appetite of fashionistas around the world. Designer watches come in leather, satin, precious stones, diamonds and engravings that not only perform their duty of keeping time but to adorn the wrists of the wearer. Cufflinks, well, they are designed to make you look and feel prestigious.
The designer watches in the market right now are so gorgeous and so beautifully made that they are equate the excellence in luxury watches. Designer watches make excellent gifts to both men and women. With precious stones engraved into the watches, it becomes an art worth wearing. Designer watches come with an equally hefty price tag and it can range from a few hundred to thousands of dollars. The more stones on the watches the more expensive and the more functions on the watches, obviously, more expensive.
Designer wrist watches have become a must have accessory and because of that, it has taken up a large part of the industry. Designers now have different styles for the different fashion seasons just as clothing designers do. More and more companies and designers are getting into the wrist watch market with some exquisite styles and one-of-a-kind time pieces. Just as the fashion trend may continue to prosper year after year, the market for designer watches will continue to grow as well for many years to come.

Shopping for Designer Watches

Many people- whether they can afford it or not, adore designer watches. This is because designer watches come with really good workmanship and craft that only skilled watch makers can design. There are many questions from consumers when it comes to buying designer watches and one of the main questions is whether it is genuine or not genuine. After this, comes the question when buying designer watches is where to purchase them.

There are a few guidelines you can follow as there are no direct set of rules. When buying designer watches, do your research first on the originality of the brand you wish to purchase-if you already have something in mind, that is. You also have to keep an open mind. Knowing a little bit about the watch market can help as you would not be cheated into buying non-genuine timepieces for a price that isn’t worth it. Simple guidelines such as water resistance, complications, surface and such should be known about watches before proceeding to buy them.

Apart from buying watches from store, you can also opt for going online. Like I mentioned before- keep an open mind. This is where is comes into play. You do not have to be afraid to buy on the Internet. There are many designer watches that you can only get directly from manufacturer in the U.S. In addition, many jewelers will mark up their products a lot so you can probably get the best price online. The only downside is that there are disreputable watch dealers out there so you have to be careful. The best thing to do is ask the dealer for a serial number. If they are unwilling to provide you a serial number, then move onto someone else. If they do provide you one check it with the manufacturer to assure that it is the genuine article.

Watch Shopping

With every new purchase you make, the best question to ask yourself if “Why do I need this?”  The same question should be asked when buying your new watch - Why do you want a new watch for? If you are not blessed with a healthy and abundant bank balance, then you would probably go for one watch that fits all occasions and all outfits. The best bet for you is to go for something plain-not striking, just plain. Why? Because you wouldn’t want to be looking dumb with a huge sports watch when donning and evening gown or a slim metallic watch when you’re in shorts and a tank top right?

Style and design is very important when buying a watch. Next in line is the price. When selecting your new watch, find something that isn’t too dressy and not to sporty. Get something that compliments your outfits and your personality. Designer watches, have somehow fit into this category. Designer watches in the market from Bvlgari, to Timex,Rolex to Casio and Tag Heuer to Omega all have designs that suit practically every occasion. These timepieces, though expensive are the favorites among the clientele of customers who prefer a simple watch that fits all occasions. These set of people prefer the fuss free watches that don’t need much of thinking and one that has all the basic functions of a watch. These designer watches are designed for those who do not fancy flashing away their timepieces and don’t view watches as a fashion accessory but rather as a practical and functional piece of their wardrobe.

Watch Buying Guide

The most important accessory in a man’s wardrobe is his watch. For those of you who haven’t quite grasped the idea of buying designer watches, here are a few tips. Just like buying diamonds- cut, clarity, carat and color, in watches, there are 5 terms you would need to equip yourself with so that you can look professional and sound like an industry pro.

First of all-complication. This refers to functions in the watch that go beyond simple timekeeping. This function can start with an annual or lunar calendar, to an alarm system or glow in the dark mechanisms of just the basic stopwatch. It depends on you- if you want a highly complicated gizmo, then the more functions the better.

Next is the movement of the watch. You know you don’t know that much about clockworks, but at least, get yourself educated with terms like watch gears- all those tiny bits and pieces that make the clock tick. Again, with more functions on your watch, the more bits and pieces are included into the watch.

When selecting your designer watches, look for the quartz. More accurate watches have a movement that is powered by a battery and regulated by the oscillations of a quartz crystal. And this movement is found on really expensive designer watches. If the watch fits your bill, then you can buy one.

Next is self-winding. This is a type of mechanical watch that contains a rotor on a pivot that is wound up according to the day-to-day movements of the wearer’s wrist. This function is interestingly known as automatic.

Last but not least, water resistance. We know your designer watch says its water resistance. But, its resistance has its limits- and that is up to a hundred meters of being submerged in water. So don’t go paddling away for a long period of time to be on the safe side.

Designer Watch A-list

I’m sure many of you have wondered what top’s the list in the men’sdesigner wrist watch category. Let’s take a look at some of the A-listdesigner watches that are all time classics. Number one on the list is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner.  Unveiled in 1953, this watch in the first water- resistant timepiece that can go up to 330 feet. Some of the famous hands that have donned this watch are Sean Connery’s James Bond as well as Che Guevara which retails at $5,175

Next is the Omega Speedmaster. The Omega is the first watch that has followed man to outer space  on Buzz Aldrin’s and his colleagues hands on Apollo 11. This watch is a sporty and sturdy timepiece with accurate automatic chronograph. The Omega is priced at $3,000. The Cartier Santos was designed by Louis Cartier himself in 1904 for the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. This watch was one of the first wrist watches built specifically for men with the price tag of $4,200.

Another famous designer watch brand is the TAG Heuer Monaco. This watch priced a $3,195 was issued in 1969 with stainless-steel classic and was the first automatic chronograph to feature a water-resistant square case. Movado Museum debuted in 1947 and is a minimalist timepiece, which features only an hour hand, a minute hand, and a dot at twelve o’clock. This designer timepiece still sits in the Museum of Modern Art’s design wing and is priced at $995. Last but not least is the IWC Portuguese that was developed in 1938. this watch was specifically designed for Portuguese tradesmen’s who requested for an oversized watch with precise, pocket-watch movement. Since then, it has become IWC’s signature model and comes with a price tag of $19,400.

Selecting a Women’s Wristwatch

Just like earrings, women fancy designer wristwatches too that match their outfit and the occasion. Choosing a designer wristwatch for a woman can be difficult. Not that wristwatch for women are becoming obsolete, it’s just that there are many to choose from. But of course if there are a lot to choose, finding the perfect one for you shouldn’t be a problem.

When shopping for your designer wristwatch, narrow your search to four or five categories. These categories are such as sports, casual wear, work wear and special occasion. When it comes to sports watches, you would need something not only displays the time but also lap time, split time, speed and other functions. Designer watches that fall in the category of sport watches are Tag Heuer Professional Sports watch, Timex Ironman Flix 30 Lap Watch, Timex Ironman Solar Watch, Sunnto Lumi and many more.

When you need a watch for casual outing, you would want something scratch proof, water resistant, comfortable and functional. Watches for casual reasons need to be tough and durable- meaning it should last you long and not easily break or worn out. This is because you would wear this watch for a longer period and it should be something that is of good quality. Designer watches that are ideal are Fossil, Citizen, Cartier, Gucci and many more. For special occasions, the situation calls for a luxury watch that matches your outfit. Designer luxury watches have jewelry items such as diamonds and Swarovski crystals, gold, silver or platinum bracelets. The brands that are dedicated to luxury designer watches are Bvlgari, Anne Klein, Tag Heuer, Omega, Patek Phillipe, Tissot, Vacheron Constantin and many more.

Celebrities and Their Designer Watches

Being rich and famous has its perks- and a whole load of it. Seeing the way celebrities splurge on even mundane things like gold-plated toilet seat covers make you stop and wonder if they thought about what they did before doing it. But then again, you’d also be thinking that they’ve got a huge stash of money (which keeps growing by the minute) that they can do almost anything they want with it. This also brings me to the celebrity splurge on watches.

Browsing to celebrity dedicated sites; I stumbled on a few articles that talk about celebrities and their unique timepieces. Let’s start of with the California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnie here wears an Audemars Piguet watch. For the world of me, I can’t even pronounce it and I know the saying that goes ‘If you can’t pronounce it, you can’t afford’ and I definitely can’t. Anyway, Arnold is an avid watch collector who has a taste for limited editions Audemars Piguet and his other favorites are the IWC Big Pilot, Rolex and Panerai. Arnold is not the only one who loves Audemar Piguet. Beyonce’s new husband, Jay-Z is also a fan and sports the Auremar Piguet Royal Oak Offshore. Apart from that, Jay-Z also adores the AP Grande Complication. Just the sound of the names already tells me that these designer watches are expensive.

Pop princess Britney Spears adorns her wrist with a Roger Dubuis and has also been spotted wearing a Chopard Montres Dame and Breitling watches. Mrs. Beckham, or Victoria Beckham compliments her outfits with an iced-out Piaget watch while bond girl, Halle Berry, a Franck Muller Casablanca 2852. Italian president really takes his watches seriously and wears a priced watch from the worlds oldest watch maker- Vacheron Constantin tagged at $540 000 compared to American president George W. Bush who wears a simple Timex watch at $50.

Selecting Men’s Wristwatch

When it comes to men, the choices for men’s designer wristwatch are plenty too. With the dizzying array found at any watch shop, the men folk would find it hard to buy their timepiece. Men, just like women, would need different types of watches for different occasions. He can’t be wearing a sports watch with a suit and neither can he wear a dress wrist watch when going hiking.

There are a few tips a man should know and adhere to when buying watches. First, he should buy a watch to suit his lifestyle and needs. If he has a 9 to 5 job in the office, look around and determine if the office is low maintenance dressing and if he rather spends afternoon lunch at normal eateries rather than five course meals, then a casual designer watch is more suitable such as Longines Master Collection Mechanical Movement Casual Watch and Casio Men’s Casual Metal Wrist watch. But if you spend more time in executive boardrooms and have lunch at the club house, a dress watch is more suitable like the Detroit Wings Men’s Dress Wrist Watch, Jacksonville Jaguars Men’s Dress Wrist Watch and the Men’s Fossil CH2506 White Dial Dress Wristwatch. Of course, when buying these watches, take into consideration how much you are willing to spend and get a handle on how much you can spend.

When buying watches, look for the features you would want in the watch. Some like their watches to not only tell the time, but the date as well. To some, being waterproof is extremely important. When choosing designer watches, determine if you would want it to have a digital display or an analog display. Also, before buying your wristwatch, find out the type of battery it uses. Some batteries are solar powered while some use lithium- either way, ask your watch sales person how long each battery will last on your watch. Last but not least, buy a watch that has a scratch resistant surface.

Designer watches to suit your everyday mood

You get up in the morning and think- what mood are you in exactly today? Personally, I dress according to my mood. The main course is of course the top and bottom ensemble or dress, and then everything else follows suit- from earrings, to necklaces, watches to my shoes. Everything compliments my combination of the main ensemble.

Cleaning out my wardrobe the other day, I noticed I had quite a collection of watches. Designer watches that is. I’ve taken quite a fancy to the elaborate pieces of art. I find them distinctive and unique as I know not many people walk around wearing it. I am one of the few who can afford these beautiful timepieces and where them to suit my moods from feeling feminine, to sexy, to dressy and casual to be down right rugged and sporty. To me, purchasing designer watchesare an investment by itself. Many would think I am wasting my money, but to me, spending money on designer watches are the same thing to how many women spend money on buying designer shoes and bags. I am a woman who only has the basics in shoes and bags- the one color and type fits all. I don’t splurge on bags or shoes, so the only thing I do splurge on are clothes and designer watches. Besides, what is so wrong about having a fetish for a different sort of fashion accessory?

To me, designer watches speak volumes about a person. You see, women are normally associated with shoes and bags while men are associated by watches. Looking at men walking with powerful strides with their Rolex’s or Armani showing, somehow vibrates a sense of power and prestige. That is how I feel every time I don a different watch. When it’s a Bvlgari dress wristwatch, I feel demure and sexy, when it’s a sporty Baby-G, I feel athletic and when I put on my Swatch, I feel street smart and ghetto. Watches just reflect my mood and it supports my overall look for the day.

Designer Timepieces

Different people have different ideas and notions on what they perceive as investments. Some say that property is the best investment there is while some say vehicles-mostly cars and some say clothing is an investment. It doesn’t matter what they invest in because different people have different ideas on what an investment can be. Some think investments are a guarantee for your livelihood- a money churning machine while some consider investments as just being spending or should I say splurging on something that they deem fit to be paid the price of ownership-like designer bags, or purses or even watches.

Designer watches are beginning to see the light of day because many people don’t view it as just a normal practical accessory. They now view watches as a fashion statement- a time piece that speaks for itself. Nowadays, nobody wants to be seen with just a practical accessory for a watch. They want the watches to do the talking for them, to support the look that they carry, to define their sense of style. Designer watches tell the person looking at them that the owner if a person of wealth, or a person of art, or a person of stature, of sensibility, of great importance. Designer watches aren’t for the common folk. Designer watches are designed for people who want to make a statement and can afford the statement. These watches come from big names such as Ben Sherman, DKNY, Diesel, Oasis, Guess, Seiko, Swatch, Marc Ecko, Playboy, Police, Fossil, Lacoste, Kinetic and Timex with prices that can reach up to $50 000 a watch to the lowest at $ 1000.

Women and their watches

I am sure you’ve heard about women pairing up their outfits with their shoes right? Have you heard of women pairing up their watches with their outfits? Well, looks like times have changed the way women view their watches. Just like pairing up earrings and necklaces to suit their dresses, watches to have been taken into account when pairing up accessories. Women have always been the primary market when it comes to fashion and it hasn’t changed in the time piece market either. From Armani to Swatch, to Bvlgari and Gucci, these brands have catered designer watches to match practically any style a woman wears. These designer watches are designed to being slim, feminine, stylish to even masculine and sporty. Also, designers have gone the extra mile by designing watches that go beyond the conventional designs and the conventional materials. No more are watches for the fairer sex looking so plain and boring.

The line of designer watches in the market make women spoilt for choice. Designer watches nowadays come in luxuries leather, metal bracelets; elegant satin straps complete a little bling like diamonds and mother of pearls. Some even have Swarovski crystal straps and even the owner’s name engraved on it. These watches are designed for different occasions to compliment any fashionable ensemble that can be worn for business meetings, social occasions, parties or even the beach.  Also, some designer watches come with detachable straps so that the wearer can change the straps to a different color or design that suits her mood of occasion.

How to Choose Designer Jewellery

You need to be familiar with a few basics about jewellery before you’re making that purchasing decision. The price of the jewelleries shouldn’t be the determining factor when you are buying one for yourself. You need to make sure that the accessories that you bought are suitable for you for most of the occasion that you usually attend.
Some designer rings, for example, are sold as mounted and semi-mounted. Mounted simply means that gemstones are placed on the mount, while semi mounted means that it is a metal ring, and there are no stones on top of it. You have the chance to choose your own gemstone when you go for a semi mount.
Other designer jewellery includes cufflinks. You get to choose from variety of materials including crystal, masonic and other designer cufflinks. Buying your designer cufflinks from an online store is a good way reduces the possibility of wearing something that looks similar during any occasion that is being organized in your town. You will also have the chance to save more money compared to buying it in your local store.
Some of these ladies designer watches featured beautiful piece of jewels such as ruby and sapphire for the interior mechanisms of the watches. Knowing the information about where these gemstones originates will give you a better idea about how much they should and would have cost. Diamonds from mines are limited and will usually cost more than what it would be for synthetic ones.
These are just some of the basic information that you will need to know when purchasing designer jewelleries from an online store. Stay tune for more tips in the next blog update.

Why Should You Get Your Designer Watches Online?

All of us wear watches nearly everyday, so it is worth it to invest in designer watches for something that we are wear everyday. Paying £450 to get your designer watches from designer jewelers like Armani. Triumph and Claude Valentini is not something unusual.
But why would you pay that price when you can get it for half the price from legitimate sources online?
Getting an Emporio Armani AR3141 Leather Diamond Ladies would have cost you more than £500 if you get it from your local watches store, but you will only need to pay for the price range of £280 to £300 if you get it online. Other than that, you will have more selections to choose from. You will also have the access to see the latest designer watches that hit the shelves. And you wouldn’t be able to see these watches in your local designer watches store in one or two months later.
It would definitely be better if you save that money to add personal accessories into your wardrobe. You could spend that extra fund for your new sunglasses and designer jewellery.
But you need to make sure that you are getting your designer watches from a reliable source. You don't want to end up paying that £300 to get a fake Armani watches.
Do your due diligence and research the background of the company that you're dealing with to avoid from becoming a victim for a con artist who is out there just to steal your hard earned money.
